Storyline Black Mirror

Charlie Brooker explains that the name "Black Mirror" is a reference to the black displays of electronic gadgets that are in every house or apartment. "If technology is drugs, and they really look like drugs, then what will be the side effects? The borderline area between pleasure and discomfort is the setting of my drama series "Black Mirror". You will find a black mirror on every wall, on every table, in every palm: a cold and shiny TV screen, monitor, smartphone."Over the past ten years, technology has comprehensively changed our lives before we had time to come to our senses and doubt them. In every house, on every table, on every palm there is a plasma TV, a computer monitor, a smartphone display — a black mirror of our existence in the twenty-first century. Our connection with reality is changing. We have laid "Google" and "Apple" on the altar and worship them. "Facebook"-algorithms know more about us than our own parents. We have access to all the information in the world, but there is only enough space in our head to perceive 140 characters from a message on Twitter. The "Black Mirror" reflects the universal concern for our modern world…

The first two seasons of Black Mirror were shown on the British Channel 4 in December 2011 and February 2013, respectively. On December 16, 2014, a special Christmas episode was released. In September 2015, the rights to the TV show were acquired by the American streaming service Netflix, which ordered 12 episodes, subsequently divided into the third and fourth seasons, 6 episodes each. The third season was released on October 21, 2016, and the fourth on December 29, 2017. On December 28, 2018, a full-length interactive film "Black Mirror: Brandashmyg" was released on Netflix. The premiere of the fifth season of "Black Mirror", numbering three episodes, took place on June 5, 2019.
