Saraswati Partasarathi works in the library. With her nondescript appearance, the girl repels all potential candidates for husbands. The librarian's younger sister, Kaveri, is very worried about her upcoming wedding with Sanjay, but cannot get married before Saru. Father and mother are trying in every possible way to arrange a family life for their daughter, but they constantly fail.
