Storyline Tanu Weds Manu (2011)

Tanu has not been in her native lands for almost six years, all this time she had to spend in a foreign country to get a decent education. After completing a full course of study at a prestigious university, it's time for the girl to return home. No matter how hard it was to part with the familiar place now, her native lands were waiting for her, which she already missed. Arriving in Kanpur, she becomes happy again, because she is surrounded by her beloved relatives and friends whom she has not seen for so long.

Almost at the same time, a nice young man living in London comes to the city. Successful work and citizenship of a Western country gives him incredible opportunities, but he made promises to his father that his wife would definitely be from India. It is impossible to violate the request of relatives, and therefore he goes in search of a bride who will become a worthy spouse in another country. When Manu met Tanu, he immediately fell in love with her, he decides to propose to her without delay, realizing that he will not find a better candidate for himself. It seemed that anyone should agree to such an offer, but not Tanu, who refused to attend the wedding ceremony.
