Lieutenant Nikolai Ivushkin was captured by German troops and, considering an escape plan, agrees to become a live target during the testing of German weapons in the Great Patriotic War. As soon as he finds himself inside his native T-34 tank, he realizes that he will not be able to betray his compatriots and makes a serious escape.

During the war from 1941-1945, he often got into dangerous situations when he could have died. Such a situation occurred at the very beginning during the battle against the team of Klaus Jager, where by the will of fate he managed to survive, albeit through a three-year period of captivity. With the threat of the Russian army advancing to the border of the Third Reich, it was decided to start training weapons on captured and captured tanks. And Kolya becomes the head of the crew of concentration camp prisoners to train cadets from Germany. But fellow citizens would not be able to do so, so they hijack a tank and begin to conduct military operations according to their own rules.
