In the end, the Titans destroyed almost everything that got in their way, and people simply could not protect themselves. We all know that war is one of the ways of progress. The fact is that human weapons could not cause serious harm to the Titans, because they had strong steel protecting them, but humanity was able to find a way out of the situation by inventing to build cyclic walls. Thanks to this, the onslaught of the enemy was held back for a hundred years. After such a long time, people began to think that nothing was threatening them now, after which it was decided to reduce their army. That was the fatal mistake.
