In the cold autumn of 1899, a comfortable sea ship called "Cerberus" leaves the English port and goes towards the American city of New York. On board a large steamer there are several hundred passengers from different parts of the European continent who dream of starting life with a clean slate on the territory of the United States of America.

A female doctor from the UK, Maura Franklin, specializing in neurology, decided to move to the New World to forget about the tragic events from her own past. One day, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, the ship's captain receives a distress signal from the twin ship Prometheus, which mysteriously disappeared without a trace more than four months ago. Eik Larsen, contrary to the wishes of travelers, decides to respond to the call for help. Heading to the designated place, none of the people on the "Cerberus" does not guess what awaits them ahead.
