Storyline The Homesman (2014)

The American Mary B. Cuddy is considered by others to be an independent and strong person. A woman farmer is able to take care of herself and her loved ones. One day, she agrees to transport three insane women to a special clinic. The main character has to make a difficult journey from Nebraska to Iowa. Indians and numerous bandits often attack poorly armed travelers, hoping to profit from valuable things and money.

On the road, Merry rescues a half-dead man who was left to die with a noose around his neck in the middle of a lifeless desert. When he came to himself, the stranger introduced himself and told his story. Cuddy invited George Briggs to accompany her small "caravan". A cowboy, grateful for saving his own life, gladly becomes a guard for a new acquaintance and mentally ill companions. Embarking on an extremely difficult mission, a couple of desperate people defy the dangers waiting at every turn.
