Storyline The King: Eternal Monarch (2020)

The Kingdom of Korea, 1994, a tragic event that made the whole kingdom sad. Lee Lim wants worldwide recognition and fame, so he kills his brother, who is the king of Korea. Upon hearing the noise, the little prince comes, seeing his father in blood, he tries to prevent his uncle from stealing a powerful flute that is capable of incredible things. Li Lim wounds his nephew in the neck, but a man in black appears out of nowhere, forcing his uncle to flee. The little prince survives, and the next day he is proclaimed the new king of Korea. 25 years pass. After that incident, the king was left with one part of a broken flute and a police badge, which was issued to Lieutenant Jeong Tae-yul in November 2019. This story haunted the young king.

Meanwhile, in the Republic of Korea, Detective Jong Tae-il is investigating a case of illegal online games. She sits in ambush and detains potential criminals. At this moment, in the Kingdom of Korea, a young king is chasing a man who he thinks may be the owner of a police badge. The king gets on a horse and tries to find a stranger. Looking around the forest, he suddenly finds himself in the middle of a street in the Republic of Korea.
