The year is 2080 outside. The Earth has practically ceased to exist. Now the population of the earth is only eight hundred million inhabitants, who are dispersed across two cities. The crime rate is off the charts. And justice is administered by an armed judge. The judge finds the criminals themselves and sentences them themselves. If a judge passes a death sentence, then he has the right to execute it. Dredd is one of the best judges of Mega-city. All criminals try not to catch Dredd's eye. At one point he is framed.

It turns out that one journalist was shot using Dredd's gun. Such a gun can only be used by someone who consists of Dredd's DNA. This is the fault of Judge Griffin and Rico, who want to get rid of the guardian of the law. Fargo is Dredd's teacher and the chief justice resigns, thereby changing the humble sentence to life imprisonment. Heading to the colony, a plane with prisoners crashes because of cannibals. The surviving Dredd tries to resist the bandits and Fargo comes to his aid. Having dealt with the cannibals, they go to Fargo, where he tells Dredd the essence of his origin. Dredd and Rico are the genome of the best judges who were bred to create the perfect judge. But the plan got out of control when Rico turned into an anti-judge.
