The film is based on the true story of a female archaeologist who is going to do serious excavations in England. Any excavation can become the most valuable event in the world of history, thanks to the painstaking work of archaeologists, the museum is annually replenished with amazing finds that help supplement historical data with new knowledge. Quite by chance, a group of scientists discovers a very ancient burial dating back to the sixth century. The peculiarity of this place is that a ship was buried on the site of the cemetery, inside of which there were many unusual Anglo-Saxon artifacts.

In addition to biographical plots, the main idea of the film is connected with a special metaphor of the word "excavation", it seems that the director is trying to put more emphasis on the fact that life itself is so fleeting and fleeting, and then everything turns into a story that allows descendants to rethink the value of human life. The approach of war makes us think even more about the future and the past, the emotions of the main characters increase with the approach of tragic events, which makes the film dramatic and at the same time exciting, making us worry about the characters of the film.
