Gerry Selbi is the elderly man from the USA who recently retired. He lives in the small house with the beloved wife Marge and long ago suffers from the financial problems forcing to save it in everyday life. The only hobby of the sad pensioner - newspaper to a pike perch thanks to which he studied mathematics and learned to understand figures.

Once he accidentally notices a small error in numerical structure of the Massachusetts lottery and decides to use it for the sake of a victory. In 27 million dollars rather impressive sum to try not to go crazy. Gerry and Marge too so consider, having won this figure in a lottery once. Spouses decide to make improbable, holding the hit jackpot in hand - they want to revive the small city in Michigan, to lift it "from ashes", to declare it to everyone.
