Travis Barclay has absolutely no desire to spend a couple of weeks with his grandparents living on a small farm located in the countryside. The boy is especially stressed by the fact that his younger sister Whitney goes with him to elderly relatives. Arriving at the place, outraged by the lack of joys familiar to people of his age in a small settlement, the teenager tries to convince himself that soon this nightmare will end and he will return home. Soon the main character found out that the unscrupulous Blandford family was going to destroy the town in order to implement insidious plans.

Despite the refusals of local residents to sell their homes, the influential family is ready to go to the end. Soon, an inquisitive kid who accidentally got underground gets acquainted with the recluse Paul Bunyan and his blue bull Kid. Friends have been living in the dungeon for many years, trying once again not to attract the attention of people from the surface to their own personalities. Paul and his animal and Travis and his sister decide to join forces to fight back against the selfish Blandfords. Like-minded people are sure that they will be able to stop the rich.
