Belgium, middle of the twentieth century. Albert Sellink celebrated fifty-year anniversary recently. So it developed that recently the man was interrupted by the casual earnings helping to get only the most necessary things. There was categorically not enough money for normal existence. Once in the newspaper he saw the announcement of a vacancy of the nurse. Having decided to try good luck, he contacts the owners of the magnificent mansion needing the person who will look after the little Mia having an unknown disease. 

Hosts suited Albert's candidacy. Explained to him that the girl should not leave own dwelling as sunlight is pernicious for the ten-year-old little girl. Soon the main character learned that he instead of Miya's teeth carries special ice artificial limbs which need to be changed several times in days. Gradually, Sellink managed to come into contact with the closed child. In one of days the employer told the man that the young person needs to be prepared and accompanied the ward to the train going to Paris. This information set the unusual nurse thinking, the baby cannot be shown on the street in the afternoon...
