Far in the northern territories, among the fjords of the Scandinavian peninsula, a small settlement of brave Vikings was lost. Brave warriors have been fighting an irreconcilable confrontation with flying dragons living nearby for several centuries. Chief Hiccup's offspring has always been an inquisitive guy who can't imagine his own life without dizzying adventures.

The father has high hopes for his son, believing that he will grow up to be a strong personality. However, a young man who is not prone to aggression, whose physical characteristics leave much to be desired, intends to become the creator of his future himself. The main character has extraordinary mental abilities, which are manifested in his craving for ingenuity. Once, with the help of a self–built catapult, a teenager managed to shoot down a representative of one of the most dangerous dragon species - the Night Fury. Hiccup is not going to finish off a creature that has fallen to the ground, he wants to tame it.
