Narasingkh lives in the shabby patrimonial house. The lonely person has no relatives and cares, his wife lives separately long ago. Despised by the servant and neighbour's hooligan teenagers, the man whiles away days, striking up strange conversations with people with which the destiny brought together him in the past. To add plausibility to the daily dialogues, Nara with an amazing accuracy imitates voices of the imagined guests. Once Narasingkh was incredibly popular ventriloquist, however in process of disappearance of this art form, its means to comfortable life began "to disappear" quickly. 

Having reconciled to sad existence, the old man gradually turned for people around into the unfortunate madman. Once, the only friend of the elderly person, the small trader Keshto gives it a majestic chair which he always wanted to possess. The wooden thing causes transformation of his personality in the new owner that restores in him confidence in own forces and adds bravado to internal essence. However, transformation happens only in the head of the main character. It leads to a chain of misfortunes and the unexpected moments.
