Storyline Black Friday (2004)

The movie based on the eponymous book by Hussein Zaidi in which it is told about investigation of explosions of bombs in Bombay in 1993. At the beginning of March of the 1993rd year, India endured the whole series of deafening terrorist attacks which thundered in the territory of peace and quiet Bombay. To the scene there arrived the police. Law enforcement officers managed to find out that terrorists blew up the whole thirteen cars which were up to the top filled with explosives. By calculations, during terrorist attack 257 people died, but instigators did not manage to be found. Soon, the main character - the skilled investigator who shortly found a trace of criminals was connected to legal investigation. However, to calculate and find location of the whole group of terrorists who followed orders of the leader it was necessary to put a lot of effort and to pass through tens of deadly barriers.

The plot represents a series of stories about the different people involved in investigation process - police officers, conspirators., victims, ordinary people. Black Friday - the documentary drama. Though the movie was complete in 2003, and the premiere of the film took place outside India at various film festivals, it was not widely adopted in India till 2007 when official investigation of terrorist attacks was completed. The movie has practically no relation to Bollywood - there is no love line, there are no dancing songs (though offscreen music excellent). Nevertheless, it is, perhaps, the best movie Anuraga Kashyapa today, the most popular and recognized as critics and the audience.
